Sonia Suwanvanichkul is a Thai national who moved to the UK in order to receive a first class education and assimilate with the high fashion culture. Since arriving, through vast experience with fashion brands and independent designers she was able to garner a passion for knitted textile and recognise the beauty of the finished product. Through this passion and her unwavering effort she was able to compete and win the NEXT live project award, attend a mentorship period with designer Julien MacDonald, become an Exhibitor at the SPINEXPO event in Shanghai Autumn/Winter 2023, Finalist at London Graduate Fashion Week with the Zandra Rhodes award, and have her work approved by Priestman Goode at the London New Designers event. Sonia has now developed a goal to take her passion and her craft and reinvent the face of knitted textile to showcase the exponential potential of knitted fabrics.
